You may remember that back in August of last year we brought you the first sneak peak of the eagerly anticipated Tron Legacy, the follow up to the cultural icon that is the original 1982 Tron movie.

Today a new theatrical trailer for Tron Legacy was debuted at Comic Con 2010, which is taking place in San Diego this week. It is the third trailer to be released for the movie and gives us our best idea yet of what to expect from the film. The results are simply breathtaking and enough to make any film buff salivate.

Joseph Kosinski makes his feature film directorial debut with Tron: Legacy, while the previous film director, Steven Lisberger, returns as a producer. Jeff Bridges reprises his role as Kevin Flynn, and Bruce Boxleitner his roles as Alan Bradley and Tron, while Garrett Hedlund portrays Flynn’s now-adult son, Sam. The other cast members include Olivia Wilde, Beau Garrett, Michael Sheen and John Hurt. At over twenty-eight years, this film marks the longest gap between a live-action film and its theatrical sequel in Hollywood history.

Tron Legacy is released 17 December 2010.

This is the Flexible Love chair, it was designed by Chishen Chium, who one day stumbled upon a small factory producing ‘honeycombed’ sheets of recycled paper in suburban Taipei. Chishen was intrigued by their use of the honeycomb structure to create cardboard palettes that were being used to replace traditional wooden palettes, and believed the material could be applied to create any rigid structure. Within days, the idea for FlexibleLove chair had been sketched out and turned into a working model.

Coming soon to Channel 4… This Is England ‘86

Set three years on from Shane Meadows’ hit film This Is England, Shaun, Woody, Lol, and the rest of the gang are back!

It’s not on telly for a while yet, but with the World Cup on everyone’s mind it got us thinking back to the 1986 World Cup in Mexico, and what Shaun and his mates would have been up to as football fever swept the nation.

If you just can’t wait for the drama’s arrival on our screens later this year, here’s a sneaky peek into the lives of Shaun and the gang as we find them in 1986 (courtesy of Gadget’s home video!)

This Is England ‘86 is a brand new four-part drama from BAFTA award-winning director Shane Meadows, coming this autumn to Channel 4. More info to come in the coming weeks.

Animated installation inside the Stonewall Center in downtown Columbus, Ohio. This was 2 week project from concept to finish. Animation by Jon Stommel and Travis Czekalski, collectively known as “Rather Severe”, the photos were sequenced in After Effects to “Pickled!”, from Flying Lotus’s new album Cosmogramma.

Cee-Lo-Green, one half of Gnarls Barkley, is to mark his return to his solo project with a cover of Band Of Horses’ ‘No One’s Gonna Love You’. It could be considered a bold move for any artist to cover such a beautiful classic, but Cee-lo Green has done it magnificently. Exciting times lie ahead for Cee-Lo-Green, and we can look forward to some stunning performances later in the year as Cee-Lo is planning to go on a live tour before the end of 2010.

Portsmouth Promoters Breakneck and UpDnB butted heads like two electronically charged battering rams, causing a phenomenal collision of musical supremacy that exploded from The Pyramids Centre at Southsea in the form of forerunner of the Drum & Bass world, Hospitality.

Half a mile down the seafront and the the energy brimming from The Pyramids is roaring down shore like a monstrous monsoon looking to drench any bystanders in a twisted concoction of drum & bass and Dubstep. Fuelled by a selection of the heaviest of hitters representing electronic music, the night was always destined to whip up a frenzy in Portsmouth.

The steps up to the entrance look challenging but the vibes thrown out of the place work to beckon and entice. Clambering up in any other situation, this time seems like floating on a magical cloud of energy. Barely inside and a bold display of chaotic mayhem coupled with a vivid display of lasers and neon light displays strike like a sting from a hornet. The whole place is saturated with passion that almost jumps from the walls and slithers throughout the crowd injecting the bodies with a hard shot of endurance in the form of skank fuel.

Joker works the crowd into sporadic fits of flamboyance, dropping a heavy display of Dubstep and Grime splattered with the occasional lick of Drum & Bass. It was as if he had reached down and scooped up the dancefloor into his grasp, with total control he is perched behind the decks like a puppet master in deep concentration as he ingeniously twiddles the emotion of the crowd like a thermostat dial. His remix of SMD’s Cruel Intentions and his own tracks Tron and Aint Got A Name blasted out shock waves that were close to sending the building into demolition.

Belgian wonder boy Netsky of Hospital Records smothered the place in silky strands of liquid indulgence with his set. He supplied the congregation with wave after wave of blissful and euphoric Drum & Bass that flowed like a wondrous and vibrant melodic rainbow. Throwing down a swirling medley of his own production combined with treats from the likes of High Contrast, B-Complex and Camo & Crooked he put on a stunning show leaving the crowd tingling in admiration.

Still as much a Pioneer in the game as he ever was, Shy FX blessed the decks with his usual charisma. Firing out a rampage of all things filthy he violently shook the dancefloor into a churning mess of flings and flails. Beads of sweat catapulted high up to the rafters in all the carnage as the skanking force took full hold of the floor.

Hospitality has become renowned throughout the UK as a force to reckoned with. The Brainchild of Hospital Records head honcho Tony Coleman began in London and has flourished far and wide leaving it’s mark on numerous places over the years. Hospitality is now known all over the world but credit must go out to the individual promoters in each town and city, in this case Breakneck fronted by the duo Owain Harris and Stuart Mullen and UpDnB ran by Sam Hill aka DJ Trubass.

The night carried a certain clout that is recognisable and evident due to dedication and passion. Portsmouth Hospitality was swarming with lashings of both!
