Photoshop is a tool which is used by photographers and graphic designers on almost every image we see. When used correctly Photoshop can make the ugly beautiful, the fat thin and the wrinkled smooth. However a number of what must be under skilled or hungover designers are being let loose on magazines and websites throughout the land. This has led to a number of poorly crafted or down right ridiculous Photoshop mistakes being published in magazines, on advertisements or on websites. Have you seen a truly awful piece of Photoshop work? Clumsy manipulation, senseless comping, lazy cloning and thoughtless retouching. Its unbelievable how some “designers” make these kind of mistakes and still make it to the cover of a magazine. Below you will find some of the worst Photoshop mistakes that have been made in recent years. We recently posted the first clip released from Chris Morris’ upcoming film Four Lions. Four Lions is a kind of Islamists’ Dad’s Army. The satire follows a group of howlingly inept Islamic would-be terrorists who yearn for jihad, without really understanding what it means or how properly to achieve it. The UK premiere is due to take place at the Bradford International film Festival on 25 March 2010 and nationwide release is scheduled for 7 May.

The Amazing Wizards are a British comedy duo creating brilliance on a budget. The brain child of Ben Wheatley and his mate Rob Hill, these two guys claim to have some amazing tricks and the ability to harness all of their inner chi to deflect hard moving objects etc.

Although these guys have been on the viral scene for a few years they were brought to my attention recently by a friend who knows how much enjoyment I take from watching idiots or very smart people playing idiots. Since starting their viral video’s they have also appeared on several of their own BBC Comedy Shorts.

Chris Morris, the genius behind witty satirical comedies such as Brass Eye, The Day Today, Nathan Barley, On the Hour and his short-lived but excellent Radio 1 music show, is known for his intelligent yet often highly-controversial brand of comedy.

He is soon to make his big screen debut with his movie Four Lions, the film received its debut at the Sundance festival recently and its release date hasn’t yet been confirmed. It is said to be a kind of Islamists’ Dad’s Army and it follows a group of howlingly inept Islamic would-be terrorists who yearn for jihad without really understanding what it means or how properly to achieve it. Chris Morris is no stranger to controversy and media debate following his now famous “peadophilia” episode of Brass Eye, which caused a media shit storm in 2001. The episode recieved over 2000 complaints, was condemed by MP’s as “unspeakably sick”, and led to people asking the Independent Television Commission to revise its rules to reinstate censorship powers to ban similar programmes from broadcast. There was also a vociferous tabloid campaign against Morris, who refused to discuss the issue. The episode went on to win a Broadcast magazine award in 2002 and the complete series, including the 2001 special, was released as a bestselling DVD later that year. The media seemed to forget that this is satire, thats what makes it so funny. And controversy is often the best form of advertising. Here is a clip from that episode:

I’m looking forward to seeing the movie and it may be the last thing we see from Chris Morris for a while, as if the the film generates the controversy that is being touted already, he will probably need to keep his head down for a while. I just hope it doesn’t all go too far, because at the end of the day its just satire.

Toilets… We all have to go, so we might aswell make it fun. Theres no reason why you should spend a few minutes a few times a day staring at a whitewashed walls whilst you go about your business. Cool toilets can also be a way for a restaurant, nightclub or other business to add a little extra entertainment for customers that can become a talking point that will advertise a business by word of mouth.
