This is the ‘ORA’ concept watch, by Greek designer Alexandros Stasinopoulos.

The ‘ORA’ concept watch has a stunning and unique design that screams originality. It focuses on the display of time through an unconventional mode, by replacing the expected dial arrangement found in the vast majority of usual mechanical watches with a set of three interwoven tapes with a “tape-measure like” appearance – one which indicates the hour, one which indicates the minute, and one which indicates the date.

The casing design reflects an ‘inside-out’ design approach, as with the ORA Concept Watch, it was the mechanism’s
arrangement that prescribed the overall shape, in an attempt to enhance its uniqueness and create a distinctive silhouette.

Alexandros Stasinopolous is an award-winning designer (reddot design award, iF design award) educated in the domains of product design and product innovation & management, experienced in international, cross-disciplinary teamwork and management. A native-born Greek, he has been exposed to diverse cultural settings by living and studying in Italy, the Netherlands and Hong-Kong, as well as travelling around the world.

Hip-hop group the Beastie Boys team with watch maker Nixon on a set of Time Teller P watches, as seen here on display at Bread & Butter Berlin. This timepiece comes in 4 colors – white, green, blue and red and is printed with various Beastie Boys imagery and wording. Keep a look out for this to be released real shortly.

Defiantly louder than the BBC counterpart, Ice Cream finally reveals images from the brand’s upcoming Fall/Winter 2010 Range. Included  in this collection are more staples that we’d expect from Ice Cream, including classics such as graphic tees and crewnecks, along with chinos, denim, and footwear, and it has all been rounded off with a matching batch of accessories. Puma’s Urban Mobility Collection has some brand new additions for the Winter/Fall 2010 season. These trainers are minimal in styling and generally understated. The FW’10 have been developed under the creative guidance of Hussein Chalayan. Chalayan fuses urban lifestyle with minimalism to create a new mature spin on the iconic Puma branding.

The FW’10 range features the Urban Flyer, Urban Flyer Fold (A Slip on Alternative) and Urban Motus (Above Image) with a beautiful suede finish.

The high styling on the rubber and plastic heel sections really give this subtle trainer some edge and character. I must admit I do have a rather large penchant for High Tops and my preference is generally Air Force I’s however taking a look at the direction Puma have taken and especially after the Alexander McQueen Collaboration I can see how Puma cannot be doubted for their ambitions to dominate the luxury sportswear market and I may just have to go out and get myself a pair.

The Gear Ring is the brainchild of Ben Hopson and Glen Liberman of Kinekt Design and is a great combination of mechanics and fine modern jewellery.

Launched at the beginning of 2010 straight out of New York City Kinekt Design want to push the boundaries of creative jewellery and merge modern design with interactivity.

The Gear Ring is crafted from a very high class Matte Stainless Steel which gives it its industrial but smooth looks. Its made up of a ring with six micro-precision gears that turn in harmony within the chassis they inhabit when spun.

So, Whats the pocket damage? These rings will currently set you back about $165 direct from their official website at Kinekt Design which is roughly £100 depending on the exchange.

Not all sizes are currently available but they do ask you to contact them in case they have recently began producing more sizes.

The current available sizes in US ring size are 9, 10, 11, and 12.

The UK size translation cannot be exact as their are two different sizes per US number however roughly the following are available S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z.

Adidas have always been one of the most innovative brands in the apparel market sector and this just goes to show that they have no plans to let that reputation go to pot. Adidas, probably with one of their most obscure ad campaigns to date have thrown David Beckham, Snoop Dogg, Daft Punk, Darth Vader, and more into the Adidas idea pallet.

Presenting their latest Originals range Adidas have joined forces and crossed light sabers (so to speak) with both Jedi and Darkside polar opposite forces of Star Wars to translate one of the biggest popular cultures created through the medium of film in most of our lifetimes to the street culture and fashion of kicks (trainers, sneakers, shoes, whatever you call them where your from).

Adidas are firm believers that 2010 is going to be a big year, and you know what, yours truly is right behind them, what a great way to kick off the new year than a mind boggling ad campaign and a nice range of new Adidas Originals to boot.
