2009 has been one to remember for Floating Points. The London-based producer has spent most of this year seamlessly meshing soulful house with dubstep (house step?) and is, to quote The Notorious B.I.G., blowing up like the World Trade. This hype is rightly justified with “Vacuum”; a melodic, fuzzy warm focus on soulful house. Over three blissed-out tracks he manages to keep you firmly stuck in his groove and wanting more. Peep the track “Vacuum Boogie” for evidence. We’re definitely expecting more big things from Floating Points in the new year.
