Here at Grievous Bodily Charm we have seen some fantastic sculptures inspired by sea urchins and made using the ends of pencils recently. It may sound like a bizarre technique, but artist Jennifer Maestre has made some eye catching natural looking sculptures and achieved some fantastic results. The pencils can be used to achieve a dangerous yet beautiful looking shell or alternatively a smooth dotty texture, which she uses to produce these creature like sculptures.
